Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University entered the ranking of the best universities in the world

For the first time, Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University (Korkyt Ata University) entered the list of the best universities in the world according to the international rating agency QS Word University Rankings – 2024.

The University has an 85-year history of development. For the first time in the ranking of the best Asian universities, it was marked in the TOP 551-600 in 2022. In 2023, It rose to a global position and entered the TOP 1200-1400 of the global ranking of universities.

Today, 113 educational programs are being trained here, more than 10 thousand students are studying, 10 joint and double-degree programs are being implemented, research is being conducted within the framework of 6 international projects, 16 grant projects, the number of foreign teachers and students traveling abroad for academic mobility is growing from year to year.

For the first time in 2022, within the framework of the 500 Scientists project, 6 people (Germany, USA, Russia, Belarus) were sent to foreign universities for internships, in 2023 – 14 university scientists will begin internships in countries such as Germany, Switzerland, Great Britain, Russia, Azerbaijan. They are leading experts in the fields of physics, archaeology, water resources, heat and renewable energy, construction, foreign languages, pedagogy and psychology.

There are grants from the rector for young scientists, incentives for publication activity, salary increases, equipping laboratories and classrooms with modern equipment, inviting foreign specialists with high achievements in science, social support for students.

In 2023, an agreement was signed with Seoul National University of Science and Technology to open a Higher School of IT Technologies in Kyzylorda.
