Students of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University received a grant in the amount of 2 million 600 thousand tenge

In the Sustainability Living Lab project competition organized by CHEVRON, students of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University Temirlan Abzhanov and Sayat Urikbayev presented projects and received a grant.

"Smart Bench" is a project aimed at installing benches with solar panels in front of the main academic building of our university. The main goal is to change the campus landscapes, ensure sustainable solutions to environmental problems, and promote the development of the infrastructure of our university," said Sayat Urikbayev.

According to the terms of the competition, more than 70 projects were received for the development of the campus of educational institutions. Of these, 17 projects were recognized as the best, each was allocated a special grant in the amount of 1 million 300 tenge.

The next grant holder, Temirlan Abzhanov, proposed a project focused on a sustainable greenhouse. The aim of the project is to use the soil for fertility by recycling organic waste. As well as reducing water consumption by using the irrigation method through the lower soil layer and automating the irrigation process.

It is worth noting that 6 students of our university submitted applications for participation in the Sustainability Living Lab project competition, 4 projects passed the final stage. As a result, 2 students became grant holders.
