The international relations of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University with the Republic of Belarus are being strengthened

A delegation headed by Veronika Radygina, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the Maxim Tank Belarusian State Pedagogical University, paid a working visit to the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University.

The members of the delegation met with the university administration and exchanged views on expanding cooperation in the field of science and education.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Board – Rector of Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University Beibitkul Karimova spoke about the activities and plans of the university and stressed the importance of further strengthening cooperation with Belarusian universities.

Maxim Tank Belarusian State Pedagogical University is a leading educational institution in Belarus with almost a century of history. It is also among the top three universities in educational activities.

The delegation included Director of the Institute of Advanced Training and Retraining of BSPU, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Irina Shestitko, Deputy Head of the Education Department of the administration of the Moskovsky district of Minsk Natalia Gero and heads of 5 schools.

Representatives of the delegation met with vice-rectors, faculty, discussed proposals for joint research in the field of higher education and scientific direction, training of qualified personnel.

In the future, the two educational institutions agreed to implement a program of double-degree education, joint training of students and undergraduates majoring in mathematics, chemistry, biology, and practical training. In addition, a "Green Community" aimed at solving environmental problems will be opened jointly with the two universities.

At the initiative of scientists of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, a pilot project "Green School" was launched in the schools of the city of Kyzylorda. University scientists focus students on ecological culture and biodiversity conservation, water conservation, energy conservation, waste sorting and environmental information work.

The purpose of the visit of the heads of schools of Minsk is to get acquainted with innovative technologies, establish links with universities and schools of the city, as well as the implementation of an environmental project in their country.

- The Green School project influenced the formation of students' attitude to the preservation of the purity of the environment and the conservation of natural resources. This project, which we conducted with the schools of the city, is being successfully implemented. Next, I propose to create a "Green Community" in which the residents of the city will participate. The "Green Community" is implemented not only with the participation of scientists of biology, chemistry, geography, but also with the participation of lawyers, economists, representatives of the public service sector. For example, scientists tell how to save water and sort garbage, economists consider ways to save money, and lawyers make demands and make decisions within the framework of the law," said Dana Abdrasheva, a member of the board and Vice–rector of the University for Academic Affairs.

In addition, scientists of the two universities noted the need to develop a Belarusian-Kazakh dictionary of industry terms.

Then representatives of foreign universities got acquainted with the scientific infrastructure of the university and laboratories, museums.
