"Republic Day: The Declaration that paved the way for independence"

At the initiative of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the significant day of the country has once again become one of the national holidays. On October 25, 1990, the declaration "On Sovereignty" was adopted, the country gained independence, the prerequisites for liberation were created. Therefore, this day has a special significance for our country.

Chairman of the Board – Rector of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, Candidate of Philological Sciences Beibitkul Karimova noted the importance of the holiday. In her speech, she noted that the return of the Republic Day holiday to the calendar is a sign of respect for history and the desire of our people for independence.

At the conference, senior lecturer of the educational program "Section of Philosophy and Socio-humanitarian Disciplines", Candidate of Political Sciences Saulet Sakhiyev told about how this holiday is celebrated in the countries of the world.

- According to the latest changes in the law, Republic Day is the only national holiday in the country. Republic Day is celebrated in many countries of the world as a national holiday. And the history of these days, highlighted in the calendar, varies from country to country, – said the Architect Ernazarovich.

In addition, reports were made by Associate professor of the educational program "Kazakh language, literature and Journalism", Candidate of Philological Sciences Aman Abasilov, Vice-rector for Scientific Work and International Relations of the University, Candidate of Philological Sciences Maynur Buribayeva, associate professor of the educational program "Section of Philosophy and Socio-humanitarian Disciplines", Candidate of Political Sciences Murat Nasimov.

During the conference, issues of language policy in the country, the development of regional science were discussed, and the significance of the Declaration that formed statehood was described in detail.

The conference was attended by foreign professors of the University of Helsinki in Finland Vladimir Aseev, doctors of the University of Pannonia in Hungary Miklos Hegedus, Fullbright scholar, US citizen Anna Kubas, volunteer Kim Jinkyung, who arrived in the direction of the educational center of the Embassy of Korea in Almaty under the program "Korean language" The National Institute of International Education of the Republic of Korea and congratulated on the Republic Day.

In honor of the national holiday, a number of faculty and staff of the university were awarded with awards. In particular, badges of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan "For contribution to the development of the native language", "For merits in the development of science", "Certificate of Honor", "Letter of Thanks", "Korkyt Ata Gold Medal" of the University, "Uzdik Tulek" medal.
