Purpose

To systematize and classify from a scientific point of view the reflection of the tradition of the East in the works of storytellers from the land of Syr. Consider the reflection of the Eastern tradition in the works of poets and storytellers from the perspective of today. Based on artistic thinking, identify the features of oriental poetry in the works of the storytellers of Syr and give them a scientific assessment. Determine the significance of the works of the storytellers of the land of Syr, world literary and cultural connections and the eastern tradition.

Project objectives

- to study the formation and development of the Eastern tradition in the works of storytellers from the land of Syr;

- study the continuation of traditions in the work of poets and storytellers;

- identify the genre and thematic specificity of the storytellers’ poetry, conduct a literary and theoretical analysis;

- conduct a scientific analysis of the works of the storytellers of Syr, written in the Eastern tradition, from the point of view of the expression of didactic motives in them;

- study works created on the basis of oriental plots, and determine the significance of such issues as national character, the naziragoilik method (repetition of a plot described in the work of another author) in Kazakh literature;

- consider the influence of the eastern tradition on the formation of the poetic environment, the poetic school in the Syra region, assess the issues of the educational worldview, spiritual values;

- to determine the nature of the eastern tradition, the author’s idea, the author’s handwriting, features in the works of the storytellers of Syr;

- to identify the reflection of the eastern tradition in the works of Bazar Zhyrau, Turmaganbet Iztleuov, Shorayaktyn Omara, Kete Zhusip, Kanly Zhusip, Zhienbay Zhyrau and others, to study the features of their creativity;

- determine the significance of national and world literary and cultural connections and eastern traditions;

- to identify the influence of the creativity of the storytellers of the land of Syr on the formation and development of the eastern tradition;

- identify the contribution of poet-storytellers to the naziragoilik method (repetition of a plot described in the work of another author);

- to identify the continuation of the traditions of ghazal (lyric poem), massawi, rubai, osiet (poems of an edifying nature) in the works of poets-storytellers;

- to reveal the educational nature of the works of poets-storytellers written in the Eastern tradition, to specify their meaning;

- analyze the plot structure, poetic features of figurative expressions in the works of storytellers.;

Expected results

1. Publication of articles in foreign peer-reviewed journals: 1 article will be published in a peer-reviewed scientific publication, indexed by the Social Science Citation Index of the Web of Science database and having 35 (thirty-five) percentiles according to the Cite Score in the Scopus database; 5 (five) articles will be published in domestic journals recommended by KOKSON or in foreign scientific publications;

- the formation and development of the Eastern tradition in the works of storytellers from the land of Syr will be identified and explored;

- the influence of the East on the poetic environment of the Syra region will be determined, issues of educational worldview will be identified;

- differentiation and classification will be made in terms of genre features of the works of poets-storytellers written on the model of oriental poetry (bayit, ghazal, rubai, minajat);

- from a scientific point of view, the method of dastans (a type of poetic work) and the didactic aspect of the works of poet-storytellers will be analyzed;

- historical and literary justification will be given for the formation of national character and artistic thinking in works created on the basis of oriental subjects;

- the significance of issues of the tradition of the East, national character, behavior, reflected in the poetry of the storytellers of Syr, in the history of Kazakh literary criticism will be determined.

2. The monograph “Syr suleileri zhane Shygys poetry” (Storytellers of the land of Syr and the poetry of the East) will be published – 20 pp.

3. A methodological textbook “Syr suleyleri zhazgan dastandardagy naziragoilik adis” (Naziragoilik method in the dastans of storytellers of the land of Syr) will be prepared and published - 15 pp.

- A literary and theoretical analysis of works written according to the Eastern model will be carried out in unity with artistic features.

- Сompetitions (city and regional scale) will be organized for performers of works by poets and storytellers written according to the oriental model.

- Students and undergraduates will be involved in the development of scientific projects based on the results of scientific research, making presentations at international, republican, regional conferences, and publishing articles in scientific publications.

- A republican scientific and educational conference “Syr suleilerine klassikalyk Shygys adebietinin aseri” will be held. (The influence of classical oriental literature on the work of storytellers from the land of Syr).

- Business trips to near and far abroad will be organized, literary and cultural ties will be established.

- Students will be offered the following topics for their diploma works, which will examine the worldview and philosophical views of poets-storytellers: “T.Iztileuov dastandaryndagy Shygystyk dastur” (Eastern tradition in the works of T. Iztleuov); “K. Yerimbet dastandaryndagy Shygystyk sakylyk, adamgershilik, imandylyk maselesi” (Problems of humanism, spirituality, generosity in the works of K. Yerimbet); “Bazar Zhyrau dastandaryndaghy syuzhetik jeli” (Storyline in the works of Bazar Zhyrau).

Master's students will be offered the following dissertation topics: “Bazaar zhyraudyn “Aina-tarak” dastanynyn plottik sheshimi men sopylyk saryn” (Plot solution and Sufi motives in the dastan of the Bazaar zhyraudyn “Aina-tarak”); “Shorayaktyn Omary mysaldaryndagy Shygystyn ertegilik plot zhane asiettik, tarbielik mani” (Plots of oriental fairy tales in the fables of Shorayaktyn Omary and their educational significance); “T.Iztileuov mysaldaryndagy Shygystyk ulgi men ulttyk sipat” (Eastern model and national character in the fables of T. Iztleuov).

The topics of dissertations and theses emphasize the importance of studying the heritage of traditional Kazakh literature for its popularization in the modern world space.

The materials of the scientific project will supplement theoretical and practical research on the problems of domestic and foreign literary criticism. They will also determine such literary and cultural ties as Eastern integration and literary exchange.
