Program features	The educational program "History and Social Studies" was prepared within the framework of the project "Modernization of secondary education". The partner university is Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov. History and Social Studies is a new integrated program that includes a symbiosis of disciplines aimed at forming critical historical thinking and consciousness of students. The Educational Program meets the needs of the school for history teachers with the necessary competencies to teach the basics of law and religious studies. The development of the Educational Program is based on interdisciplinary, scientifically integrated and problem-oriented approaches. The choice of subject disciplines is determined by current problems of history and society and corresponds to international subject descriptors.

Form of study	The term of study is determined by the period of mastering 240 academic credits for the entire period of study and 60 academic credits for the academic year. Accordingly, the training period is 4 years. It is allowed for a student to acquire a smaller or larger number of academic credits per academic year, while the period of study increases or decreases. The term of study for persons with higher education or technical and vocational education, or after secondary education is determined taking into account the student's prerequisites, determined on the basis of the transcript (diploma supplement). In this case, credits are re-credited and previously mastered disciplines are taken into account, provided that their volume is sufficient and the educational program is continuous.
