Informatics teacher – a specialist with professional pedagogical training in the field of information and communication technologies. Graduates of this program can work as informatics teachers in general education schools, colleges, and higher educational institutions. Profound theoretical and practical knowledge in programming, data management, and information technologies enables them to organize the educational process effectively in accordance with modern requirements, developing students’ cognitive activity and interest in information sciences.

Objects of Professional Activity

The object of professional activity under the educational program 6B01507 – Informatics (IP) includes the process of teaching informatics in educational institutions, the application of information and communication technologies (ICT), and the system of education digitalization. A future informatics teacher organizes the learning process in general, technical, and vocational education institutions, works with information systems, software, and network infrastructure, and participates in the design and implementation of a modern digital educational environment.

Form of Study:

The duration of study is determined by completing 240 academic credits in total and 60 academic credits per academic year. Accordingly, the standard period of study is 4 years. Students may complete fewer or more credits per academic year, in which case the duration of study may increase or decrease. For individuals with higher, technical, or vocational education, or post-secondary education, the duration is determined based on the student’s prerequisites, according to their transcript (diploma supplement). In this case, credit transfer and recognition of previously completed courses are allowed, provided they are sufficient in volume and continuity with the current educational program.
