Volunteer work focuses on natural resources protection

There was held an environmental hour dedicated to environmental protection and raising ecological awareness at the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University's Institute of Engineering and Technology for students majoring in «Electrical Power Engineering, Technosphere Safety, and Ecology».

The event was organized by the Department of Ecology for the Kyzylorda Region of the Committee for Environmental Regulation and Control of the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the informative meeting, the chief specialist of the department told the students about the ecological situation in the region, as well as about projects implemented in order to promote ecological culture among the population.

For students majoring in «Ecology», this meeting was an important part of their professional development. The students learned about specific areas of work in the ecology field and received answers to their questions about employment opportunities, participation in environmental projects and the implementation of environmental initiatives.

During the meeting, there were also discussed issues of active youth participation in volunteer movements and environmental campaigns for environmental protection.
