Special educational grants were awarded to twenty-four qandas (countrymen).

The region's main educational institution pays special attention to attracting qandas to their historical homeland and providing them with opportunities to receive an education. Last year, 21 qandas were accepted for free tuition. This year, the Chair of the Board and Rector of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University Beibitkul Karimova provided special educational grants to qandas for 20 bachelor's degree programs and four master's degree programs.   

Particularly, there has been a significant increase in the number of other countries’ citizens willing to study at Korkyt Ata University in the new academic year. 687 foreign students were accepted for paid bachelor's programs and 6 for grants. Six citizens of other countries also enrolled in master's programs on a paid basis. For several years now, students from Russia, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, China, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan have been studying at our university, and in the new academic year, students from Turkmenistan have been added to this list.
