Family Values – The Foundation of Society

A scientific and methodological seminar on the topic «Factors of Family Crisis: Causes and Consequences of Divorces Based on Empirical Research» was held at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University in collaboration with the private economic partnership «AngarSpetsStroy».

The main goal of the event was to comprehensively discuss one of the pressing issues of society – family stability, the causes of divorces and their social consequences, as well as to develop effective proposals aimed at strengthening family values. The meeting was chaired by the Vice-Rector for Social and Educational Work, Zhandos Bazartay, who noted the contributions of the university's scholars in the study and development of the family institution.

During the seminar, specialists from various fields presented substantive reports on the topic and shared their experiences. Aida Abibullaeva, the director of the National Public Association’s branch «Government for Citizens» in Kyzylorda region, delivered a report named «Youth and the Mission of the Family», discussing the preparation of youth for family life and their responsibilities, as well as addressing divorce statistics in the region. She analyzed the causes of divorces in Kyzylorda regionб based on specific data and presented her proposals for preserving family values.

In addition, Gulnara Seksenbaeva, the director of «Kyzylorda City’s Family Support Center», presented the work and achievements of the center in her report named «Analytical Report on the Activities of Kyzylorda City’s Family Support Center: Achievements, Problems, and Future Directions for Development». Alma Abdimomynova, an associate professor of the «Economics and Management» educational program and a candidate of economic sciences, focused on socio-economic factors leading to divorces in her report «Causes of Divorces: An Analysis Based on Data».

Aibolat Temirov, a responsible specialist from the «Consultation Center» of «Akmeshit-Syrdarya» Mosque, emphasized the importance of spiritual values in the family in his report named «Family Crisis and the Path to Happiness». Meanwhile, psychologist Aksharbat Bakytzhanovna from the «Center for Honoring Mothers» highlighted the importance of enhancing mutual understanding and trust within the family in her report named «Prevention of Family Crisis: Psychological Support and Ways to Preserve Family Values». Abai Shainurov, a senior lecturer in the «Economics and Management» department and a candidate of economic sciences, scientifically analyzed the social and economic consequences of family crises.

In conclusion, participants exchanged views on the topic and put forward common proposals for promoting family values in society and preparing youth for family life.
