The «Vivacity and Health – 2026» Olympics is taking place in intense competition atmosphere

At Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, the jubilee 50th Olympics for faculty and staff, titled «Vivacity and Health – 2026», is being held in its traditional format.

In this significant year, six teams are participating in the sports competitions, competing in eight different sports. Participants are demonstrating their skills and strengthening team spirit and sportsmanship in disciplines such as chess, table tennis, tug-of-war, swimming, volleyball, togyz kumalak (intellectual board game), air rifle shooting, and foothall.

Following the initial stages of the competitions, the Institute of Engineering and Technology secured first place in chess, with the Institute of Pedagogy and Traditional Art taking second, and the Institute of Natural Sciences coming in third.

In table tennis, the Institute of Pedagogy and Traditional Art emerged victorious, followed by the Institute of Natural Sciences in second place, and the Rectorate team in third.

In the tug-of-war competition, the Institute of Engineering and Technology once again claimed first place, with the Institute of Natural Sciences taking second, and the Rectorate team securing third.

For swimming, the Institute of Pedagogy and Traditional Art showed the best results, earning first place, followed by the Institute of Natural Sciences and the Institute of Engineering and Technology.

In women's volleyball, the Institute of Natural Sciences was the winner, with the Institute of Economics and Law taking second place, and the Rectorate team coming in third.

In men's volleyball, the Institute of Pedagogy and Traditional Art secured first place, followed by the Institute of Engineering and Technology in second, and the Rectorate team in third. In togyz kumalak, the Institute of Engineering and Technology won first place, the Humanitarian and Pedagogical Institute took second, and the Rectorate team placed third.

Competitions in air rifle shooting and foothall are currently ongoing.

The traditional Olympics aims to promote a healthy lifestyle among university staff, improve health and enhance team cohesion.
