Korkyt Ata University lecturers showcase their skills in «Senat Open» qualifying rounds

The Kazakhstan Chess Federation, with the support of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, organized a qualifying tournament as part of the III Open Republican Chess Cup «Senat Open».

The main goal of the tournament is to popularize chess and widely develop this intellectual sport among deputies of all levels, political figures, representatives of law enforcement and security agencies, civil servants, healthcare and education workers, members of public councils, veterans, as well as media and culture professionals in Kyzylorda region.

In this tournament, the faculty and teaching staff of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University participated as part of the «Silver University» project and tested their skills. Nurlybek Akhmetov, a senior lecturer in the «Engineering technologies» educational programs group, was an active player representing the university.

Such intellectual competitions not only broaden the horizons of lecturers, but also contribute to the development of a healthy lifestyle and intellectual culture within the university community.
