Korkyt Ata University announces the opening of a co-working center and a new lecture hall «Prosecutorial supervision»

Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University hosted the grand opening of a lecture hall and the «Prosecutorial supervision» co-working center, established as part of the implementation of the «Law and Order» principle in collaboration with the Kyzylorda regional prosecutor's office.

The event was attended by Dana Abdasheva, the Acting Rector of the University; the Prosecutor of Kyzylorda region, Rizabek Orazarov; the Head of the Personnel Support Department of the General Prosecutor's Office, Kanat Zhubatyrov; the Chairman of the Kyzylorda Regional Branch of the «Amanat» party, Zhandos Bazartai; representatives of the prosecutor's office, faculty, students, and media representatives.

The ribbon symbolizing the opening of the new lecture hall was cut by Dana Abdasheva, Rizabek Orazarov, and Kanat Zhubatyrov.

The first to speak was the Prosecutor of Kyzylorda region, Rizabek Orazarov, who emphasized the importance of this initiative for enhancing legal literacy and strengthening the professional training of students. The Head of the Personnel Support Department of the General Prosecutor's Office, Kanat Zhubatyrov, noted that over ten thousand university graduates are currently working in the legal field and presented several books to the university library.

During the event, a ceremony was held to sign the schedule of classes in the «Prosecutorial supervision» lecture hall. This is a concrete result of the cooperation within the memorandum between the university and the regional prosecutor's office. Currently, approximately 500 bachelor's specialists are being trained under the «Jurisprudence» educational program in civil law, administrative law and criminal law specializations. Besides, students are developing comprehensively within the specialized «Student legal clinic» and the «Young lawyers» scientific and creative club. Competent specialists from the prosecutor's office conduct special master classes. Also, students undergo practical and pre-diploma internships. Annual consultative work is fulfilled for applicants wishing to enroll in the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Currently, several university graduates are continuing their studies in the master's program at this academy. To conduct scientific research in conjunction with the regional prosecutor's office on combating juvenile delinquency, suicides, and cybercrime, a working group is successfully functioning.

During the event, several citizens who contributed to the opening of the lecture hall were honored. The Prosecutor of Kyzylorda region, Rizabek Ozharov, the Head of the Human resources department of the General Prosecutor's Office, Kanat Zhubatyrоv, the Deputy Prosecutor of region, Madi Sarpekov, and the Head of the Regional Prosecutor's Office Department, Batyrbek Nurmagambetov, were awarded the university's highest honor – the «Korkyt Ata Gold Medal». Meanwhile, the Head of the Legal statistics and special records department for Kyzylorda region, Yestay Zhukashev, and the Deputy Prosecutor of Baikonur city, Arman Zhappasbayev, received the «Best Graduate» medal.

At the conclusion of the event, students who took second place in the «CrimEx-2025» competition for criminologists and forensic experts were awarded Letters of Appreciation from the regional prosecutor.

This initiative not only enhances the legal literacy of students but allows for the improvement of practical knowledge among future lawyers also.
