FINANCIAL LITERACY WEEK AT KORKYT ATA UNIVERSITY JOINTLY WITH FREEDOM BANK

As part of Financial Literacy Week, educational meetings are being organized for students in collaboration with Freedom Bank at the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University. Throughout the week, important topics aimed at enhancing the financial literacy of young people are actively discussed.

The main goal of the event is to teach students how to use financial resources effectively and responsibly, to develop personal budget management skills, and to explain ways to protect themselves from online fraud. During the meetings, participants received valuable information on financial security, fund planning, and saving culture.

As part of the week, banking specialists Askhat Katai and Kanat Kalabayev are conducting educational sessions for students on personal finance management, responsible credit behavior, investment basics, and common fraudulent schemes. Specifically, detailed attention was given to vishing, phishing, fake investment offers, fraudulent activities on social media, and the dangers of drop-shipping schemes.

             

Such informational meetings not only contribute to the formation of students' financial culture but also increase their awareness in the field of cybersecurity.
