SUCCESSFUL MODEL: UNIVERSITY – SCIENCE – PRODUCTION

A delegation from Korkyt Ata University held a meeting with representatives of Shanghai Fudan Forward Group (Fudan Fuhua).

Shanghai Fudan Forward Group is one of China's largest high-tech holdings. It was founded in 1984 as a science and technology company of Fudan University and was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 1993. It is the first joint-stock company among Chinese higher education institutions. Currently, the controlling shareholder of the company is the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Fengxian District, Shanghai.

The holding's activities are based on three main areas:

- Pharmaceuticals – production of chemical drugs and preparations.

- Software – outsourcing to the Japanese market, artificial intelligence, cyber security.

- High-Tech Parks is a development of innovative enterprises, incubation, "smart city" projects.

The uniqueness of the holding lies in the successful combination of the trinity of "university – science – production". This model is considered a benchmark for effective integration of higher education and the real sector in China.

Prospects for bilateral scientific and technical cooperation were discussed during the meeting. The parties intend to further strengthen cooperation in the areas of personnel training, technological experience exchange, and the development of innovative infrastructure.
