CHINESE INVESTORS SHOW INTEREST IN SCIENTIFIC PROJECTS

Representatives from Chinese companies Inner Mongolia Chundian Holding Group Co. and its strategic partner CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited) paid a working visit to the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University.

The guests were welcomed by Dana Abdrasheva, Board Member and Vice-Rector for academic affairs of the university.

The meeting was attended by representatives of Inner Mongolia Chundian Holdings: Hao Min, Head of Mining Projects; Siriguleng, Head of Mining Operations; and Huang Long, Mineral Resource Assessment Engineer; and representatives of CATL: Sun Mingchuan, Head of Strategic Mineral Resource Procurement; and Zheng Ziyang, Head of Commodity Operations.

The parties discussed joint research and development activities in Aral Sea region during the meeting. Special attention was paid to studies on determining the sodium, potassium, and lithium content in water, as well as assessing their reserves. 

Representatives of the foreign companies expressed their readiness to finance and invest in these projects if the research yields give positive results. The parties also explored opportunities for developing a long-term partnership that combines science and production.

The meeting marked an important step in strengthening international cooperation in the study and efficient use of the region's natural resources.
