Solemn events will be held to mark the 85th anniversary of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University

In honor of the 85th anniversary of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, large-scale events will be organized on December 2-3. This was announced by the Chairman of the Board – Rector of the University Beibitkul Karimova at a press conference in the Regional Communications Service.

- On December 3, we solemnly celebrate the 85th anniversary of the establishment of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University. This year, forums, meetings, scientific conferences and other events were organized as part of the anniversary.

The Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University has made an invaluable contribution to the development of higher education, science and culture in our region.

The University works in the following 4 areas: education, development of science and innovation, development of socio-cultural direction, strengthening of international cooperation. The educational institution pays special attention to education in the specialties that are necessary for the labor market.  The university has 115 educational programs. Of these, 66 are bachelor's degree programs, 36 are master's degree programs, and 13 are doctoral programs. 5 new educational programs have also been developed," said Beibitkul Sarsemkhanovna. 

The number of people choosing the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, which has an 85-year history, is growing every year. Compared to the 2019-2020 academic year, the number of students increased by 70%. and it amounted to 9014 people.

Today, the university has 5 institutes, 24 departments, 5 research centers. The total teaching staff is 560 people. Of these, 22 Doctors of sciences, 176 candidates of sciences, 37 Doctors of Philosophy (PhD).

It is planned that on December 3, the solemn meeting dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the University will be attended by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek, heads of universities, public figures and other representatives of the intelligentsia.

It is worth noting that within the framework of the anniversary of the university, the I Alumni Forum, the I Regional Forum "Ardagerlerdi ardaktayik", the I Regional Forum "Mamandygym – bolashagym", the III International "Taimanov readings" on the topic "Modern Mathematics: problems and applications" were held.

In honor of the anniversary, the books "Korkyt ata atyndagy Kyzylorda University: damudyn zhana kezeninde" and "Kaldyrgan izin mangilik ..." are published. The books "Akparat aydynynda universitet", "Bizdin tulekter" will also be published in electronic form.

On December 2, the scientific and methodological center of chemical education named after Honorary Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences  Kulbaram Saduakasovna, and microbiological research center named after twice laureate of the State Prize, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Sadanov Amankelda Kurbanovich will be opened.

On December 3, the Foresight session "Expanding access to higher education: prospects and opportunities", the Foresight session "Regional Universities-2032: human capital and science" will be held in the academic building №5

On the same day, a solemn meeting "Ulttyk rukhaniyattyn uly Ordasy" dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University will be held in the Palace of Students
