A sports tournament was held in honor of Mustafa Matayev's 90th birthday

A sports tournament dedicated to the 90th anniversary of professor, public figure, "Honorary Citizen" of the city of Kyzylorda and Kazalinsky district Mustafa Matayev was held at the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University.

At the opening of the tournament, Vice-Rector for Social and Educational Work Zhandos Bazartai noted the scientist's contribution to the development of science and education. The famous scientist founded the Department of Jurisprudence at the university with a history of more than eighty-five years.

The secretary of the regional maslikhat Nauryzbai Baykadamov noted that many students studied at the department created by the scientist and found a place in science.

-There are hundreds of responsible employees in the judicial and law enforcement sphere in the region. The head of the Department of "Jurisprudence" Mustafa Mataevich has worked for more than 10 years. At the same time, the first candidates of law came out from among the university teachers," Nauryzbai Seitkalievich noted.

At the tournament, participants competed in chess, swimming, futsal, tug of war.

In chess, the 1st place was taken by the Department of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the Kyzylorda region and the city of Baikonur, the 2nd place - the Department of Emergency Situations of the Kyzylorda region, the 3rd place-the Department of Justice of the Kyzylorda region.

In swimming, the 1st place was taken by the Police Department of the Kyzylorda region, the 2nd place was taken by the Kyzylorda Regional Department of Emergency Situations, the 3rd place was taken by the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University.

In futsal, the 1st place was taken by the military unit 5547 of the National Guard of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the 2nd place - the Prosecutor's Office of the Kyzylorda region, the 3rd place - the Police Department of the Kyzylorda region.

In the tug of war, 1st place was awarded to the Police Department of the Kyzylorda region, 2nd place to the Department of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the Kyzylorda region and the city of Baikonur, 3rd place to the military unit 5547 of the National Guard of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The winners were awarded special cups, diplomas and awards from the organizers, as well as the best players were awarded.
