KORKYT ATA UNIVERSITY AND THE EDUCATION UNIVERSITY OF HONG KONG REACH COOPERATION AGREEMENT

The Kazakhstan–China Investment Forum was held in Almaty with the participation of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Before the forum began, participants observed a minute of silence in memory of the servicemen who lost their lives in the tragic incident in the Mangystau Region and paid tribute to their memory.

The forum brought together representatives of government agencies, domestic businesses, development institutions, and leading Chinese companies. Among the participants were First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlybek Nalibayev and Deputy Akim of the region Amankul Nuriddin. Nurlybek Mashbekuly noted that the forum would contribute to further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries, expanding investment cooperation, developing industrial cooperation, and implementing new joint projects.

As part of the forum, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, SDU University, Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau University, E.A. Buketov Karaganda National Research University, O. Zhanibekov South Kazakhstan Pedagogical University, and The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK).

Within the framework of the Memorandum, Chairman of the Board – Rector of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University Nauryzbay Baikadamov and professors of The Education University of Hong Kong, Gu Ming Yue, Michelle; Poon Sin Yi, Teresa; and Wang Yi Fei, Faye, reached an agreement on further cooperation.

During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for developing cooperation in the field of education, strengthening academic ties, and implementing joint projects.
