Admissions for Master's and Doctoral Programs are Now Open

Master's Admissions: From October 28 to November 10, 2025, registration for the second comprehensive testing for Master's program admission will be conducted on the app.testcenter.kz website. During this same period, applicants for specialized Master's programs requiring creative preparation can submit their documents. The testing will take place in November-December. While submitting an application, applicants will independently choose a city for the testing and can make changes to their application regarding the group of educational programs, language and testing city until November 10. After this date, data adjustments will not be possible. Information on the testing date will be available in the applicant's personal account on November 14. The comprehensive testing for the scientific and pedagogical Master's program will be conducted in an electronic format and will consist of three blocks: a foreign language test; a test to determine readiness for learning; and a test in the profile of the educational program. The time allocated for the test is 3 hours and 55 minutes. The minimum passing score is 75 points, with at least 25 points for the foreign language and at least 7 points for each specialized subject.

Doctoral Admissions: From October 28 to November 10, 2025, the admissions committee will accept documents from doctoral program applicants and conduct registration for entrance examinations. Applications will be accepted on the website of the National Testing Center. Candidates must first submit their documents to the university admissions committees. To be admitted to a doctoral program, candidates must provide a certificate confirming proficiency in the state language according to the QAZTEST system and a certificate confirming proficiency in a foreign language. Candidates holding a TOEFL ITP certificate will take an additional English language test before the main examinations. The examinations will take place in December, and information on the exact schedule will be published in personal accounts on November 14 and 27. The entrance examination for the PhD doctoral program includes: an interview, an essay and specialized questions. For the specialized doctoral program (including industrial PhD), the examination consists of two parts: an interview and a specialized test. The minimum passing score for admission under a state educational grant is: 75 points for the PhD program and 50 points for the specialized doctoral program.
