Rector met with the staff of the Institute of Economics and Law

The Chairman of the Board – Rector of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, Nauryzbay Baikadamov, met with the staff of the Institute of Economics and Law. During the meeting, key indicators of the institute's educational, scientific, and upbringing activities, as well as its future development directions, were discussed.

The Director of the Institute of Economics and Law, Ainur Isaeva, provided a detailed overview of the institute's student body, the number of educational programs, the qualitative indicators of the teaching staff, academic mobility programs, and research activities.

Currently, the total number of students at the institute is 1343, including 1148 undergraduate students, 31 master's students, and 15 doctoral students. Besides, 149 students are studying on a fee-paying basis. The institute also has international students.

There are offered 9 undergraduate educational programs, 10 master's programs, and 3 PhD doctoral programs. Within the academic mobility program, cooperation has been established with foreign and domestic higher education institutions. In the 2025–2026 academic year, student exchange will be fulfilled through external and internal academic mobility.

At the meeting the issue of employment was widely discussed. Also there was noted the need to intensify efforts in organizing youth internships, student career guidance, and strengthening ties with employers.

The faculty proposed relocating the forensic laboratory to the main academic building. This initiative aims to create more favorable conditions for students and enhance the effectiveness of practical classes.

Furthermore, the issue of defending master's and doctoral dissertations was discussed, and the necessity of improving the quality of scientific research and refining the work of scientific supervisors was emphasized during the meeting.

Following the meeting, further tasks for the institute were defined. According with this, there was stated that work on improving the quality of education, strengthening scientific potential, developing academic mobility, and increasing the employment rate of graduates will be systematically continued.
