Held a professional holiday of higher education workers

A solemn meeting dedicated to October 1 - the Day of Higher Education Workers of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the International Day of the Elderly was held at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University. At the festive event, the Chairman of the Board-Rector Beibitkul Sarsemkhanovna congratulated the university staff on the significant holiday and noted its importance.

"If we talk about higher education, the driving force that has a special impact on the dynamic development of science and education in the country, then this holiday has a special place for all of us. The success of an educational institution is the result of the unity of the team. We will continue to expand the sphere of social support to retain strong specialists and scientists,” Beibitkul Karimova said.

Currently, the actual number of university staff is 1,120 full-time units. Of these, the teaching staff - 546, teaching and support staff – 170, Administrative staff - 56, other staff – 348. 

The university's budget has increased 2,3 times over the past five years. Since 2020, the volume of allocated funds for infrastructure development has increased by more than 9 times and in 2024 amounted to almost 1 billion tenge. Due to the steady growth of the financial situation in the last 4 years, the salaries of the teaching staff increased by more than 3 times, and the rest of the employees by more than 2 times.

In 2024-2025, the share of teachers with an academic degree became 51%. The average age of the faculty and staff of the university with an academic degree is 46 years.

Successful results in the transformation of an educational institution into an innovative and entrepreneurial university are shown by many of our initiatives to modernize infrastructure, digitalize business processes, improve the efficiency of the management system and HR processes, strengthen international relations, increase scientific potential and organize career guidance.
At the solemn event, a number of employees who made a great contribution to the strategic development of the university and worked tirelessly to educate a high-quality specialist were noted. 

The event was attended by representatives of the intellectuals, university veterans, faculty, university staff and students. The solemn event ended with a festive concert program.
