Burhan Bayan: Education abroad paved the way for professional development

Burkhan Bayan, a student of Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University, is studying in Poland as part of the academic mobility program and gaining European experience. Burhan shared his impressions about the advantages and features of studying abroad for one semester, adapting to the local lifestyle and acquiring new skills.

Although he felt butterflies in my stomach upon arrival in Poland, the presence of his friends, with whom he left the country together, gave him great support. One of the most memorable events is the moment when they got from Warsaw to Lodz and settled in the hostel themselves. It was their first success.

According to Burhan, relations with Polish students have developed well. Among the local traditions, the most amazing thing is that Poles lead a healthy lifestyle and allow themselves the time. They spend their free time walking in parks, cycling, walking pets.

In his spare time, Burhan organizes football, volleyball, and tennis games with the students of the hostel. In addition, he took part in events dedicated to Independence Day, and noted that the local population highly appreciates peaceful life. These holidays strengthened his sense of patriotism.

According to Burhan, Poland and Kazakhstan have similarities. For example, in Poland, you can see a typical housing model for former communist countries, reminiscent of some cities in Kazakhstan. However, Kazakhstan is ahead in digitalization: services such as banking and the purchase of transport are faster and more affordable.

During his studies abroad, Burhan developed the skills of finding a way, effective time management and improving his English. In addition, he plans to study Polish. Striving to become a specialist in the future who has mastered world knowledge and experience, he devotes his free time to reading books and participating in seminars.

Confident that the knowledge and skills acquired in Poland will benefit Kazakhstan in the future, Burhan said: “Studying according to European standards, improving English and gaining intercultural experience is a great opportunity for my professional development. I will pass this knowledge on to young people in the future, depending on the profession.”
