Field Day Showcased Results of Scientific Projects

Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University hosted a “Field Day” event with the participation of scientists. The gathering took place at the biological wastewater treatment station and research site in Tasbuget settlement.

During the event, the results of the project “Development of a Safe Wastewater Utilization Technology for Irrigation of Fodder Crops and Tree Plantations under Water Shortage Conditions in Kyzylorda Region” were discussed. The project is aimed at improving the region’s ecological situation and ensuring the effective development of agriculture.

Member of the Board – Vice-Rector for Science and International Relations, Mainura Buribayeva, highlighted the university’s successful achievements in the field of science. Project leader, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Serikbay Omirzakov, along with a number of researchers, presented their findings.

Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor Ibadulla Tautenov, reported on “Irrigation of Fodder Crops with Treated Wastewater.” Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Research Professor Nurbol Appazov, shared scientific updates on “Production of Adsorbents from Rice Husk and Their Application in Wastewater Treatment.” Master of Agricultural Sciences, Orken Baymakhanov, presented findings on “Assessment of Pond Water Impact on Groundwater.” Master of Technical Sciences, Islambek Kultan, spoke about “Efficient Use of Solar Energy: Performance of Hybrid Inverters and Innovative Models.” Master of Agricultural Sciences, Meruert Kopen, reported on “Research Results on Drip Irrigation Technology in the Experimental Plot.” Master of Agricultural Sciences, Almasbek Berdibek, presented conclusions on “Justification of the Water Regime of Sugar Sorghum in Rice Crop Rotation under Water Scarcity.”

As part of the event, participants visited the experimental site and viewed an exhibition of scientific and experimental equipment.

It was emphasized that the scientific studies presented during the Field Day will contribute to the efficient use of water resources, the development of agriculture, and the enhancement of ecological sustainability in the Kyzylorda region.
