One can enter public service without competitive selection

The doors of public service are open to graduates who have distinguished themselves with high academic performance at university and have demonstrated their professional skills. This was announced by the Agency Chairman of Kazakhstan Republic for Civil Service Affairs, Darkhan Zhazybaev, during a meeting with students of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University.

During the meeting, students were presented with the main directions of digitalization of the civil service, outlined in the Letter of the Head of State to the people of Kazakhstan. Particularly, there were explained the goals of transforming the country into a fully-fledged digital state, introducing artificial intelligence into management processes, developing a platform economy, and applying big data technologies. Issues of effective public administration, leadership development in the system, and improving the quality of human resource management were also discussed. The chairman of the agency also called on young people to pay special attention to the principles of ethics, transparency, and accountability. «No one will bring in high-quality personnel from outside. They are within our society. We aim to form a new stream of professional civil servants by searching for, attracting, and selecting high-quality personnel for the state apparatus. Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that the concepts of «Fair Kazakhstan» and «Honest citizen» are two values that must always go side by side. The qualities inherent in an honest citizen must be present in every young person. In this regard, honest citizens are the driving force behind a fair Kazakhstan», said Darkhan Zhazybaev.

She also presented the university's potential in training future civil servants through research projects and knowledge exchange programs. At the meeting, students had the opportunity to ask questions about the development of the civil service, the improvement of the training system, and digital governance directly to the Agency Chairman. Responding to questions clearly and comprehensively, as well as positively assessing the activity of young people, Darkhan Zhazybaev advised them to focus on acquiring knowledge and experience. At the end of the motivational meeting, graduates of Young Civil Servants School who had actively participated in the work of the university were awarded a letter of appreciation and a book by the Agency Chairman of Kazakhstan Republic for Civil Service Affairs, Darkhan Zhazybaev.
