A training course was delivered to social sector specialists to foster professional growth and share experience

Under the memorandum of cooperation and interaction between the Governor’s office of Kyzylorda region and Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University on the organization of training, retraining, and professional development of social workers, the Center for professional development and continuing education organized a professional development course «Modern directions of social work» for social workers from the «City Department of Employment and Social Programs» of Kyzylorda city Governor’s office and the «Aralsk regional department of employment and social programs» CSI.

The main goal of the course is to enhance the professional qualifications of social workers subordinate to the Department of employment and social programs coordination of Kyzylorda region.

The course program was led by Almakul Abdimomynova, associate professor of the «Economics and Management» educational program, candidate of economic sciences; Meruert Umirzakova, senior lecturer, candidate of economic sciences; and Ulzhan Berikbolova, master of economic sciences.

Social workers visited the «Kyzylorda Special Center for Social Services No. 1» communal state institution during the course. The head of the center, Raushan Yskakova, and the deputy director for social issues, Aziz Akkaliyev, provided a detailed overview of the center's operations.

During the meeting, social workers thoroughly studied how to work on the digital platform «Socium». The digital platform «Socium» facilitates the transition from traditional methods of providing social services to digital ones. This use of modern technologies aims to automate processes and reduce paperwork. The platform provides information on social benefits, programs, and initiatives, helping citizens access opportunities and services.

Besides, a psychological training session titled «Influence Your Mood, Improve It!» was conducted among the social workers. They learned to cultivate a positive mood, accept and support others, expand their professional self-awareness, establish effective communication, and build mutual trust through various methods and techniques. At the conclusion of the practical course, Nurkhan Abdikhalikov, head of the Center for professional development and continuing education, presented certificates to the participants.
