ACADEMICIAN SH. YESSENOV SCHOLARSHIP 2026
The Shakhmardan Yessenov Foundation announces a competition for 20 monthly student scholarships in the amount of 70,000 KZT each.
Applicants must be: Citizens of Kazakhstan aged 18 and above, full-time students enrolled at Kazakhstani universities, 2nd–3rd year undergraduate students (2nd–5th year for medical universities), majoring in natural sciences, engineering, medicine, or IT.
Number of Scholarships: 20
To participate in the Academician Sh. Yessenov scholarship competition, applicants must:
1. Complete the online application form on the Foundation’s website: yessenovfoundation.org
2. Attach the following documents to the application:
Required Documents:
× A scanned copy of ID card;
× An essay themed “Is it easy to become a professional in today’s world? What hinders and what contributes to this?” (submitted as an editable Microsoft Word document);
× Official academic transcript (minimum GPA of 3.0). *Applications with a GPA below 3.0 will not be considered;
× Certificate of no criminal record (or statement regarding criminal record status).
Additional Documents:
× Academic certificates/diplomas – no more than 2 certificates*;
× Certificates confirming social or volunteer activities – no more than 3 certificates*;
× Publications – no more than 2 publications*;
× Recommendation letter from academic supervisor or Head of department – no more than 1 document*.
*The Foundation reviews a limited number of certificates. Applicants must independently select those that best reflect their achievements.
Applications are accepted from February 2 to March 3, 2026 inclusive.
The deadline for submission is March 3, 2026, at 15:00 (GMT+5). Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
