A graduate student of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University has published a comic book

A comic book "CyberCity stories" by a 1st-year undergraduate majoring in Computer Science at Korkyt atа Kyzylorda University Sofia Temirbolat has been published.

The project of the United Nations Children's Fund "Safe Internet", "Cyberbullying – what is it and how to stop it?" developed as part of a program and research to combat cyberbullying. With the help of the book, children get the opportunity to study secure cyberspace and professionally read digital illustrations and comics.

In her work, the author has developed a series of books consisting of 10 parts, based on the opinion and research of foreign experts. To create a comic book, she studied with artists from Japan, Korea, Europe and honed her skills. The book offers strategies that educators can use to promote cybersecurity education in educational institutions.

"The information security of children in recent years is one of the urgent problems. During the development of the comic, children aged 6 to 14 years and their parents were interviewed. As a result, using the accumulated data, I drew the main problems through a comic. The comic is copyrighted," said Sofia Temirbolat.

The event was attended by representatives of the Akimat of the region, teachers and students, active youth of the region, IT specialists and media representatives. At the presentation, Sofia Khairullayevna presented the author's book to the library of the regional youth center and the public association "Kyzylorda City Society of the Disabled".

It should be noted that the project was recognized as the best at the festival of innovative ideas Qyzylorda"InnoFest" Qyzylorda with the support of the Akim of the region. In the future, it is planned to send the II, III sections of the book to print. In addition, Sofia intends to start teaching the author's course, expanding the scope of research in the framework of the master's thesis "Methods of teaching the course", "Cryptographic tokens NFT" in elective classes.
