The project "Mamandygym-bolashagym" was launched

The opening ceremony of the regional project office "Mamandygym – Bolashagym" was held at the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University in the Kyzylorda region.

The project "Mamandygym – bolashagym" which is being implemented within the framework of the Program to increase the incomes of the population until 2029, adopted by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.  Its main goal is to predict changes in the labor market in the region and early vocational orientation of students.

The event was held with the participation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek, who noted the importance of cooperation between the academic environment, the secondary education system and employers in the training of specialists. The dynamically developing labor market requires proactive training of personnel, which means anticipating the need for skills and competencies and early career guidance of students. The head of the department also focused on the need to develop science at the university, attract young people to science, internationalize higher education and form a digital ecosystem.

– Currently, one of the biggest problems is the combination of the labor market and the system of higher professional education. The question arises: "Why are people with higher education unemployed, why the content of education does not suit employers." A lot of work has been done on this issue for several years. In 2018-2019, the Atlas of New Specialties project was launched in the country, which was implemented in 2021. Each region has its own specifics. Therefore, in 2021, for the first time in the city of Pavlodar, a regional map of specialties was compiled. The result is very good, about 40 main specialties that the region needs have been identified. Then a regional atlas was developed in the city of Mangystau and 39 new specialties were identified that meet the requirements of the regional economy. Now these works are continuing in other cities. The project offices for these works are regional universities," said Minister Sayasat Nurbek.

The event was attended by Bagdat Berdauletov, Deputy Head of the Department of Education of the Kyzylorda region, Samgat Yermekbayev, head of the project group of the Mamandygym – Bolashagym program, Bagdat Berdauletov, Deputy Head of the Department of Education of the Kyzylorda Region, Beibitkul Karimova, Chairman of the Board – Rector of the Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University, representatives of the project office of the National Center for the Development of Higher Education and the teaching staff of the university.

Rector of the University Beibitkul Karimova noted the importance of the project, emphasizing the value of its implementation on the basis of the university, which is charged with providing personnel to the Kyzylorda region, and wished the participants good luck in acquiring new skills.

A special group of moderators and research experts from among the faculty and staff of the university has also been created," Beibitkul Sarsemkhanovna noted.

Within the framework of the Mamandygym – Bolashagym project, the university staff will undergo certification training in the methodology of foresight research in an intensive mode for 5 days. Following the results of the training, the university staff will join the team of the regional project office and conduct a foresight study with the participation of key industry experts of the region, aimed at forming a regional map of the need for personnel.

Currently, the Mamandygym – Bolashagym project is being implemented in 10 regions of the country. Pavlodar and Mangystau regions have completed the development of maps of regional personnel needs and promising professions for priority sectors of these regions. Professional diagnostics of students was also carried out, according to the results of which students determined their profile and opportunities for implementation in professional activities.
